FAQs
What's the difference between the ebook and the instructor-led course?
The material covered is broadly the same. The instructor-led course covers all the ebook does, and has an extra session on dealing directly with vendors. In addition, on a face-to-face training course, there is the opportunity to raise questions. Plus, of course, when you are reading an ebook, it is too easy to carry on reading rather than stopping to do the practicals - and doing the practicals is one the most powerful ways of learning. Finally, attendees at the instructor-led course receive an audio CD, a CD-ROM and a telephone conference with Mark.
What makes you an expert?
Study and practice! We have not only studied our subjects - property investment, negotiation, and psychometric testing - in depth but have many years experience putting what we've learnt into practice, building our own property portfolios.
You've got lots of testimonials on your site - how do I know you haven't made them up.
Don't take our word for it - in most cases, we've got the testimonial-writer's permission to include a website for them, so that you can check that they are who they say they are.
What return on investment will I get?
That depends on many things - how many properties you are looking to buy, and how much effort you are willing to put into the process. Several of our past trainees have written to us attributing specific figures to what they've learnt - however, what these people all have in common is that they are out there, looking at lots of properties. If you aren't serious about buying property, then don't come on the course!
Is this course suitable for first time buyers?
We are property investors, and the course was specifically written for property investors. Looking over the material, we'd say that 80% of the day would be relevant to anyone looking to buy a property, though.
Whether I learn depends on whether I'll get on with the trainer - will I get on with Mark?
Of course, he's lovely, charming and has a wonderful singing voice :-) Seriously, though - if you're concerned about this, then Mark runs free seminars up and down the UK. See yourpropertyexpert.com for more details.
What happens if I don't like the course?
We are confident that you will - so confident in fact, that we're putting our money where our mouth is. If you don't like the course, then come up to Mark at the lunch break, and he'll give you a no questions asked refund. We'd like to give you a testimonial proving we do this, but so far no-one's ever asked for their refund - they've all stayed for the whole day!
I can't afford it.
Many property training courses cost ten times the price of this course, so we think that we're very good value. You may find it worth buying the ebook first - for less than the price of a meal for two, you'll get many valuable negotiation tips.
When's the next course?
See the "booking page" for info. We hold courses about 8 times a year, around the UK.
Is there a group discount?
There are standard prices for singles and couples. If you would like to book in a larger group, then email us.
Do you run negotiation training for organisations?
Yes - Mark will run the standard one-day course for your organisation for £2,500+vat in the UK (plus travelling expenses in business class and accomodation for North America and the Middle East.) Mark will also design a custom course for your organisation - fees on a case-by-case basis.
Will you negotiate on my behalf in a deal?
Only in certain circumstances. We have to be convinced that there is no conflict of interest with other clients. However, our fees are not small - you may find it rather more cost effective to improve your own negotiation skills by coming on the course first.
